INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING AND OPERATING THE TURBOCHARGER

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING AND OPERATING THE TURBOCHARGER

The following requirements must be carefully met. Failure to comply with at least one of the items will certainly lead to a breakdown of the turbine. 

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS. 
1.1. Use an oil grade approved by the vehicle manufacturer. 
1.2 .The oil must enter the turbine no later than 3-4 seconds after starting the engine in order to avoid the onset of oil starvation. 
At idle the engine oil pressure should not be less than 0.7 atm. 
1.4. The oil supply hole must be vertically upwards (plus / minus 15 degrees). The inside diameter of the oil supply tube is not less than 4mm.
1.5. The oil must be drained by gravity, the drain line must not have negative slopes and bellows. The inlet of the oil drain pipe in the pallet must be above the oil level in it. The flange of the discharge pipe connection to the turbine must be higher than the oil level in the pan. 
1.6. The pressure drop on the air filter should not exceed 0.05 atm. 
1.7. The backpressure after the turbine in the exhaust system should not exceed 0.05 atm. 

2. INSTALLATION. 
2.1. Before replacing the turbocharger, you need to determine the cause of the failure of the old one and eliminate it. 
2.2. Ensure that there are no foreign objects in the turbocharger cavity. 
2. Check the intake and exhaust system for any foreign objects, dirt, etc.
2.4.Replace the oil and oil filter. 
2.5.Remove and blow the intercooler. 
2.6.Replace the air filter with a new one. 
2.7.Check the fuel system for proper operation. Remember that improper operation of the engine is guaranteed to break the turbine. 
2.7. Before installing, pour a little oil into the turbocharger. Twist the rotor shaft with your fingers until the oil comes out of the drain hole. 
2.8.Install the turbine in its place, attach the nozzles and hoses, check the tightness of their connection. 
2.9.To apply sealants to connect the oil supply and discharge lines, it is prohibited. Use the gaskets.
2.10. Before starting the engine, it must be scrolled with the starter without the winding until the oil pressure in the system (approximately 20-30 seconds). 
2.11. After starting, it is necessary to warm up the engine at idle, then cool the engine and warm again. Do this several times. 
2.12. Check the tightness of the connections. Leaking of oil and coolant is not allowed. 
2.13. Turbocharger requires running in. The first thousand kilometers do not let the engine develop full power. Limit the engine for rotation speed (approximately 50-60% of maximum speed). 

3. OPERATION.
3.1. Turbocharger - unit, directly related to the engine. The condition and serviceability of the engine and its systems affect the serviceability of the turbocharger and the durability of its operation. The most popular turbochargers in the Czech Republic, as well as a quality turbocharger komatsu. 
3.2. It is necessary to periodically check and repair the fuel system faults. A standard diesel turbine reduces fuel consumption. Do not operate the vehicle with a faulty fuel system. 
3.3. It is necessary to change oil, oil and air filters in time. Use oils and consumables approved by the manufacturer. 
3.4. Before stopping the engine, it is necessary to cool the turbine. For this, it is necessary to let the engine idle for at least one minute. 
3.5. After a cold start, it is recommended to avoid sudden accelerations before warming up the engine. 
3.6. Do not operate the car without an air filter. 
3.7. Do not operate the car with oil level below the minimum. 
3.8. Do not operate the vehicle with a faulty exhaust system. Increased back pressure leads to a breakdown of the turbine.
